David Metzner, a highly-respected composer/arranger and gifted multi-instrumentalist, founded Metzner Music Group several years ago after moving from San Francisco back to his hometown of Los Angeles. David graduated from the prestigious University of Miami School of Music in Florida, majoring in guitar performance. While there he refined technical skills and aptitudes that contributed to his becoming a top-call studio musician and valued writer/composer. A talented performer, David has also opened for a vast array of artists ranging from Harry Connick, Jr. and B.B. King to Blink 182 and Counting Crows.

Upon graduation David left Miami and headed for San Francisco with its rich and equally diverse music scene. There David's interest and proclivity for composition was notably recognized. His work was sought by a number of internet and multi-media companies and he successfully scored his first independent film. Though consumed with writing, most evenings David could be seen performing at the City's most popular venues. From big band swing, to heavy modern rock, to cool neo-soul, David loved doing it all. His understanding of and respect for these diverse genres and styles facilitated his becoming a versatile and recognized composer.

Returning to Los Angeles, David began freelancing for a variety of music production companies. This most recent endeavor afforded him the opportunity to work on a national level, first composing for commercial campaigns and later for the world of television personalities and programs.

The progression of events sequenced above, has led David to becoming a highly sought after composer in his own right. His quest to become an autonomous writer has been molded by the convergence of experience, exposure and creative acumen and culminated in the formation of his own music production company.
